Departments of Basic Sciences
Science is an attempt to investigate and understand the mystery of the nature as perceived by our sense and experience in a replicable manner that corresponds to a logically uniform system of thought. Science attempts to explore the ways of working of nature and presents the mankind the new facts, their interpretation in the form of theories and a host of discoveries. And it is the engineer who has to use these advances in sciences for the betterment of life. Therefore, basic science have their own importance in the broad spectra of engineering education.
        Anuradha Engineering College has well developed laboratories and infrastructure for teaching basic science, Due importance has been given to develop these departments along with all other departments.
 

Applied Physics
t is important for the students of B.E. First year to study basic principles in Physics, as almost all the engineering disciplines originates from this subject. The department has highly qualified and experienced faculty. The department possesses laboratories for performing various experiments in Physics. The department is equipped with major experimental set-ups like; Hall effect, G.M. counter, LASER Kit, resistivity by tour probe method, etc.
Research Activities The staff of the department is enthusiastic about research work. A lot of research activities are being done by the department. The research projects are undertaken by the staff of this department. The major research areas of the department are:
• Test and utilization of developed Solid Electrolyte for SO) SO gas sensors
• Engineering of J3- Ag2 SO, for SO, electrochemical gas sensors
• Electrical properties of CuO-Ag thin films grown by vacuum deposition
• Change in electrical resistivity of discontinuous Silver films with bias voltage
 

Applied Chemistry
Applied chemistry has a special role to play in the curriculum of undergraduate courses of all branches of engineering. It is absolutely essential for the students to be conversant with various principles and procedures involved in chemistry. The department has a well developed laboratory with all the experimental set up required for B. E. First year and B.Tech. Second year Chemical Engineering.
The department offers consultancy in the Water quality
analysis & Soil Testing. The area of the research undertaken by
the faculty includes synthesis of heterocyclic compounds and
water quality analysis and treatment. The laboratory of the
department is recognized for Ph.D. by research in the faculty
of Engineering & Technology by Sant Gadgebaba Amravati
University, Amravati.
